A History Walk around the Crofts
A whisky free moment for you during Fèis Ìle! Come and join Niall Colthart, local history enthusiast, and Georgie Crawford, Distillery Manager with Elixir Distillers, as they take you for a leisurely stroll around the hills behind the new distillery site and tell you about the history of the area.
The experience will take around 90mins, depending on the pace of the group. We would advise bringing wellies or walking boots and suitable outdoor clothing, as we won’t always be on paths and we cannot predict what the weather will have in store for us!
Please assemble at the Elixir Distillers site cabins, just along from Port Ellen primary school, on the distilleries path.
All proceeds from the walks are being donated to The Islay High School Sweden Expedition.
